Campaign: Fundraising Reinvented with the First Charitable Movie (2022)
"The Wishing Tree: Childhood Memories" was Romania’s first charitable film, as well as the first fantasy film for the entire family released on the Romanian market in the past 30 years. Designed for both children and adults, the film had a direct impact on the quality of life of people suffering from incurable diseases. It was the centerpiece of an extensive and complex fundraising and awareness campaign for the HOSPICE Casa Speranței cause, which included a film, a book, a national caravan, and a collection of charitable NFTs.
The founders of Asociația Susțin.org were actively involved in coordinating the entire creative process and implementing the campaign. All revenue generated from cinema ticket sales, distribution rights to Netflix, and later to PRO TV and Voyo, was donated to HOSPICE Casa Speranței.
The nonprofit campaign built around the film received both national and international recognition, winning 3 Gold Effies in Romania, 1 Bronze Effie, Best of Europe, as well as the Gold Award for Best Social Campaigns at Webstock (2023).
