IN DEVELOPMENT · LOOKING FOR PARTNERS THE CINEMA EUROPA DIRECTION

Cinema Europa Pop-up

Cinema Europa, for one evening, somewhere else.

After Cinema Europa's experiences outside the auditorium, we are preparing a mobile format that can temporarily turn a suitable space into a meeting place around film.

The pop-up builds on the Cinema Europa at your place experience: film selection, licensing and communication, plus temporary screening infrastructure and event organisation. The format can reach communities, schools, the courtyards of cultural institutions or spaces provided by partners.

WHAT WE ARE PREPARING

We start local. We build a format that can travel further.

We begin with a limited number of locations and a film selection adapted to the audience. We evaluate the organising, the participants' experience and the collaboration with local partners, then use what we learn for the next stage.

Part of the experience may include an introduction to the film, a discussion or involving the community in choosing the programme. For a cultural-access programme funded through CSR, we aim for participation to be free and the access conditions to be clear.

FOR FUNDERS

What a company can fund

Fundable components

A local pilot, a circuit across several communities or the infrastructure that makes the format repeatable. The partnership can cover projection, sound, licences, transport, organisation and audience access.

How we set the scale

A partner can contribute to a single screening, to a local pilot or to developing a circuit. We build the budget around the locations, the equipment needed and the audience we are addressing.

What we follow

Locations, screenings and attendance, access for people who rarely get to the cinema, feedback and the possibility of returning to the community.

How it connects to Cinema Europa at your place

“Cinema Europa la tine” is the cultural product for venues that already have the space and the projector: we bring the films, the licences and the communication.

The pop-up adds the capacity to bring the temporary screening infrastructure too, where the place exists but the equipment does not.

HOW THIS LINKS TO OUR IMPACT AREAS

The mobile format aims to take film to people who rarely get to the cinema and to create occasions to meet in the host communities.

Do you have a community where a film evening would work?

If you represent a company, a town hall, a school or a cultural institution, let's discuss a pilot: the place, the audience and what it would take to make the screening possible.

The programme is in development. The calendar, the locations and the scale are set once funding and implementation partners are confirmed.
